The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.J. Condon, rider of Vercingetorix, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled throughout this race.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Vercingetorix, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

D.T. Kelly, trainer of Cinder Rua, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge scoped wrong post race

The Stewards interviewed R.M. Power, rider of Jimmy Two Times, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that R.M. Power was in breach of R10(3)(f) by using his whip with excessive frequency and consequently suspended him for 2 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Mossey Joe, trained by E. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

The Stewards interviewed Mr S. Cavanagh, rider of Jack Aboo, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr S. Cavanagh was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip above shoulder height and consequently cautioned him having taken his previous good record into consideration.

J.T.R.Dreaper, trainer of Swanfold, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge bled from one nostril post race
